Man United man one of three sure fire goalscorers this weekend

Published:

Another weekend of Premier League football is right around the corner. For a couple of players, they must be relishing facing their scheduled opposition.

Over the years some stars just develop a knack for scoring against certain sides and this weekend sees three in particular come up against favoured foes.

Here’s how you can take advantage of their scoring traditions with us:

Riyad Mahrez v Swansea

The Algerian winger put the Welsh club to the sword as Leicester romped to the title last season, scoring four goals in the two outings.

He bagged himself a hat-trick on the trip to the Liberty Stadium, then followed it up with a single strike in the home encounter in April.

On both occasions he opened the scoring and we go 9/2 that he repeats the trick at the King Power Stadium.

Wayne Rooney v Hull

The Manchester United skipper must have rubbed his hands with glee when Hull won the play-offs to seal their Premier League return.

Rooney has registered a whopping seven goals against the Tigers in his last five outings against them. As part of a unit that are the division’s second top scorers through two games, he must fancy his chances of adding to that tally.

It’s 8/5 that the 30-year-old finds the net at any time this time around.

Jermain Defoe v Southampton

While the other two on the list like playing one particular club, Defoe just seems to perform against any outfit his Sunderland side pay a visit to at the moment.

The former Tottenham front man has notched in five consecutive Premier League away appearances, the most recent of which came against Manchester City on the opening day of the season.

Only five players have scored in six straight road trips in the top flight and we go 13/5 that the England international joins the club at any time at St Mary’s.
