Frankie: The ground will be perfect for Across the Stars

Published:

It’s been a breathless few days for me having reached 3,000 UK winners at Newmarket before success at Newbury on Saturday and then a trip to France to round things off.

I’ve been touched by the reaction to reaching my landmark figure and all the goodwill that’s poured in during the aftermath.

So, thank you everybody but I’m not done yet and there’s no time to rest!

The Ebor Festival at York is coming up and I’m very much looking forward to some great rides and hopefully a few more winners.

John is very happy with Wings of Desire

Wings of Desire is set to return to a happy hunting ground this week and his Juddmonte assault is shaping-up well.

John Gosden has every faith in him and we both feel that as a course and distance winner the race should set up nicely this Wednesday.

As the prices show, everyone else regards Postponed as unbeatable but we’ll be giving our all and it’d be unwise to rule us out.

The ground will be perfect for Across the Stars

The Great Voltigeur Stakes takes centre stage before the Juddmonte and I’m confident the ground will be perfect for Across the Stars.

Sir Michael Stoute is in great form and having a fantastic season so I’m really looking forward to taking the ride.

Idaho looks the one to beat but I’m more than happy with my horse, especially following his King Edward VII Stakes win at Royal Ascot.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Lockheed represents one of my best chances this week. William Haggas loves to have winners at York and his mount looked very smart last time out at Goodwood.

Another Nunthorpe is in sight

The Nunthorpe will be interesting as long as Easton Angel can lay up and give himself a chance.

It’ll be a typically fast and furious race but the horse has form here and hasn’t been too far away on his recent appearances.

Good luck!

Frankie.
