Fans say Swansea must keep hold of stalwart skipper this summer

If there’s one man Swansea City must keep hold of this summer, it’s their captain and leader Ashley Williams.

That’s the view from today’s Twitter poll, after we asked our followers who the Swans need to keep the most.

In the battle between Williams, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andre Ayew, and it was a confident win for the centre-half.

Wales captain Williams claimed 49 per cent of the vote, with Sigurdsson second on 39 per cent.

That left Ayew – one of Swansea’s stars last term – surprisingly lagging behind with just 12 per cent.

All three have been consistently linked with moves away from the Liberty Stadium, but with just two weeks until the new Premier League campaign, Swans fans should be feeling more and more confident about keeping hold of their fine trio.

As part of our Premier League countdown, we’re supplying a series of price boosts, and Swansea are the focus of today’s offerings right here.

Francesco Guidolin’s side open the new campaign away at newly promoted Burnley.

The Welsh side are 15/8 to win at Turf Moor, and if they maintain Williams’ services, it appears you think they’ll be much better off.
