Arsenal fans would prefer Lewa and Griezmann to Sanchez and Ozil

Another day, another load of Arsenal transfer rumours and the latest whispers have certainly been some of the most eye-catching in recent memory.

Both Bayern Munich forward and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann have been linked with moves to the Emirates with The Sun reporting that deals for either of the pair contain very real foundations.

All of which prompted us to ask Gunners fans for their preferred pairing – Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil or Robert Lewandowsi and Antoine Griezmann?

And it was the dream crop who came up trumps with Lewandowski and Griezmann securing 74 per cent of the vote while Sanchez and Ozil could only muster a paltry 26 per cent in return.

Despite his side’s defensive injury crisis it seems apparent that Wenger is making the signing of a superstar striker his priority.

How a new addition would affect the futures of Sanchez, Ozil, or even Olivier Giroud remains unclear although Arsenal’s first priority is a tricky opening weekend clash against Liverpool.

The hosts are 11/8 to see off Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool with odds of 6/1 offered for Wenger’s side to land the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
