Jurgen Klopp 5/2 to deliver Premier League title after new contract

Published:

Jurgen Klopp’s new deal is music to the ears of Liverpool fans, with the German gaffer pledging his future to the Anfield club until 2022 – and it’s just 5/2 that he wins the Premier League within the next five seasons.

Despite patches of inconsistency last season, Klopp’s men produced some of the Premier League’s most eye-catching victories, notching up the division’s biggest away win – 6-0 at Aston Villa – as well as  3-1 and 4-1 away triumphs at Chelsea and Manchester City respectively.

With Klopp’s men having dominated some of the league’s biggest names in matches last season, the 5/2 for a title in the coming years could prove very popular with Reds fans – likewise, the 8/1 for them to be next season’s Premier League champions.

The Merseyside giants also reached two cup finals during Klopp’s first eight months in charge, narrowly losing out in both the League Cup and Europa League – so with the likes of Joel Matip and Sadio Mane already signed up, the 5/2 for them to win a trophy in the coming season could prove to be an inspired bet.

Meanwhile, it’s 10/1 that the former Borussia Dortmund boss can bring a sixth European cup – and first since 2005 – to Anfield. And having led BvB to the final in 2013, Reds fans could be keen to tip him to go one better on Merseyside.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Klopp is the toast of Anfield right now, and he could be set for the legendary status of Shankly, Paisley and Dalglish should he make Liverpool champions of England again.”
