Countdown Boosts: Will Bournemouth finish above their rivals?

Published:

Our countdown to the new Premier League season continues and with just 16 days to go until kick-off, we’ve boosted a number of specials on Bournemouth’s upcoming campaign.

The Cherries enjoyed a first Premier League season in the club’s history last time out and secured their top-tier status with a 16th placed finish, but Eddie Howe’s men will be looking to do more than just avoid the drop in the upcoming campaign.

However, punters fancying the south-coast outfit to suffer from second season syndrome can also enjoy some of our offers below, running throughout the course of the day…

08:00-12:00: Bournemouth to be relegated was 10/3, NOW 4/1

Though Bournemouth found some fine form between November and February, losing just twice in 12 league outings, their run at the tail end of the season won’t have gone unnoticed by fans. The Cherries managed just one win from their last eight against an Aston Villa side who were already destined for the drop.

12:00-15:00: Bournemouth to finish above Southampton was 4/1, NOW 6/1

This hasn’t been done since 1959, but Southampton have lost three key players this summer in Saido Mane, Graziano Pelle and Victor Wanywama, while the Cherries have continued to strengthen. There was a 21-point difference between the two sides last term in the Saints’ favour, but Eddie Howe will be feeling quietly confident as he looks to establish Bournemouth’s status in the Premier League.

15:00-18:00: Bournemouth to concede the most goals was 5/1, NOW 6/1

Last season Bournemouth shipped a staggering 67 league goals – the most of any club after the relegated sides, and although they boast a wealth of attacking talent, it’s likely Howe’s ‘we’ll-score-one-more-than-you‘ approach will make this bet appealing.

18:00-22:00: Callum Wilson to score 16 or more Premier League goals was 4/1, NOW 6/1

Wilson scored an impressive five goals in his first six league appearances last campaign before a knee ligament injury ruled him out for the majority of the season. Sustaining that ratio over a full campaign this time out would see the 24-year-old rack up over 30 goals. Easy money.
