Buzzword Bingo: Cameron to bow out with Brexit in final PMQs
As he prepares to stand down after six years as Prime Minister, David Cameron is 1/3 to mention Brexit in his final Prime Minister’s Questions.
Having announced his resignation in the immediate aftermath of the EU Referendum’s Leave decision, Cameron is set to pass the baton on to Home Secretary Theresa May.
And ahead of his final PMQs, we’re taking Buzzword Bingo bets on Cameron as PM for the last time, and it’s odds-on at 1/3 he refers to Brexit, while he’s 10/1 to admit ‘I didn’t get everything right’.
The PM is 50/1 to confirm he is off to ‘chillax’ for a bit, or 25/1 to shrug his shoulders and suggest it’s ‘not my problem anymore’.
Odds of 1/3 also suggest that Jeremy Corbyn will remain seated throughout proceedings, while the Labour leader is 2/1 to stand and applaud Cameron at any point.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “If Cameron signs off with another rendition of his humming we’ll be left singing a sad song. His last PMQs could well be a mixed bag but the only certainty at the moment is that Corbyn won’t clap him off the field for the final time.”
