Arsenal star celebrates “unbelievable” night at Euro 2016
Published:It was a night of curious statistics for Germany as they progressed to the Euro 2016 semi-finals at Italy’s expense in Bordeaux.
Die Mannschaft made it six penalty shootout wins in a row at major tournaments, but at the same time missed more spot kicks against the Italians than they had done in all five of their previous tie-breakers combined.
Here’s how a handful of the players from both sides reacted to the eventual 6-5 German win on social media:
Toni Kroos, who netted Germany’s first penalty, was pretty brief in his verdict.
