Royal Ascot: Commonwealth star will leave you reflecting on glory

Published:

Friday is shaping-up to be a cracker at Royal Ascot with the two Group 1 contests particularly eye-catching.

The Commonwealth Cup and Coronation Stakes are your highlights and we’ve got selections for both of those races and one other.

You’ll find our tips below but first up is a reminder about our headline offer…

Money Back if 2nd or 3rd to the SP Favourite in Royal Ascot races!*

Get involved and remember to keep an eye out for Best Odds Guaranteed PLUS as well.

Our fantastic offering meant that customers taking the 9/2 early price on Tercentenary Stakes winner Hawkbill weren’t just paid out at the 11/2 starting price. With BOG+ we boosted the odds to 6/1, another example of the cracking value available everyday!

NAP – Quiet Reflection– 15:40 Royal Ascot

The inaugural Commonwealth Cup produced a stunning winner in Muhaarar and another looks set to emerge when Quiet Reflection makes her first attempt at the top level.

Trainer Karl Burke has been bullish about his filly’s chances and it’s easy to see why following four wins in a row, including a very smart victory in the Sandy Lane Stakes last time out.

Re-opposing rivals Donjuan Triumphant, La Rioja and Buratino were all well held that day and we think that’ll be the case again here.

NB – Jet Setting – 16:20 Royal Ascot

The Coronation Stakes is the feature of the day and we’ve plumped for another prominent entrant to do the business.

Jet Setting was superb when beating Minding to land the Irish 1000 Guineas and with the conditions set to suit her once again we can only see one winner.

Nemoralia was impressive when routing the field by six lengths at York last time out but both Jeremy Noseda’s charge and French Guineas third Qemah can be opposed.

Lively Longshot – Rare Rhythm – 17:00 Royal Ascot

William Buick’s victories in the Jersey and Tercentenary Stakes will certainly have put a pep in the jockey’s step and more success could follow in the Duke of Edinburgh handicap.

Rare Rhythm landed a useful handicap on his seasonal reappearance and it looks like he’ll appreciate the cut in the ground here.
