Huge support for Remain sees EU Referendum odds slashed

The EU Referendum vote is now only days away and the bookies are reporting one-way traffic as far as the betting is concerned.
Remain backers have been out in force with 95 per cent of all bets placed in the last 24 hours in favour of the UK staying in the EU.
That’s prompted our political traders to slash the odds on Remain to just 1/4 and it appears there will be no let-up as we enter the home straight.
Such is the strength of pro-EU support, we were forced to lay another substantial five-figure wager yesterday, to the tune of £25,000 to a shop customer in Newport.
And according to our Brexit barometer the flow of cash for Remain means the likelihood of a Leave outcome is now rated a 26 per cent chance.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Punters have spoken and they want to remain in the EU. As far as the money’s concerned it looks like Brexit is beginning to fall at the final hurdle.”
Leave had moved to an all-time high of 43 per cent (or 5/4) last week but recent moves since have eroded those gains.
