England star Vardy favourite to copy cheeky Carrasco celebration

Published:

Jamie Vardy has had plenty of practice at celebrating in the last 12 months – netting 27 times for club and country. And now the Leicester City man is the favourite to turn up the heat by ‘doing a Carrasco’ at Euro 2016.

Atletico Madrid winger Yannick Carrasco stole the headlines following Saturday’s Champions League final when he celebrated his strike with a passionate smooch with model girlfriend Noemi Happart.

And it’s 7/2 that the Foxes forward will share the love if he nets for the Three Lions, by recreating the now legendary celebration with new bride Rebecca Vardy (née Nicholson).

But the former Halifax Town man is not the only England player who could look to lock lips with their WAG of choice if they hit the back of the net in France.

It’s 8/1 that Man United defender Chris Smalling shares a saucy celebration with glamour model Sam Cooke.

And it’s a 12/1 shot that Wayne and Coleen Rooney share a snog in the stands – a likely outcome if England’s record goalscorer nets in the opener against Russia, the day before the couple’s eighth wedding anniversary.

Meanwhile, those who fancy the Three Lions to pay homage to Jack Wilshere’s recent hide-and-seek exploits behind a London bin, can back a cheeky bin-themed routine at 12s.

Moving from homages to honours, it’s 10/1 that England glory leads to a knighthood for (Sir) Roy Hodgson.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said: “Don’t be surprised to see England’s star men show their romantic side with a smooch if they net on the big stage.”

“Though it could be upstaged by a wheelie good bin celebration.”
