Premier League Darts: Final play-off spots could be taken tonight

The penultimate week of the Premier League Darts regular-season heads to Manchester tonight, and with Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen already secured in the play-offs, the other two spots could be filled by the end of the evening.
Gary Anderson needs just a point to secure his place, while Adrian Lewis will join him with a win.
Should the pair lose this evening, then that could open the door for Peter Wright or James Wade, both of whom realistically need to win their remaining two matches.
Unfortunately, one of them is guaranteed to miss out on two vital points as they face off in the evening’s opener.
The pair have shared their last eight meetings with four wins each, and with both men on 14 points, this looks set to be one of the closest matches at the Manchester Arena.
Snakebite is 11/10 for a win, while Wade is 13/8. A draw, which isn’t massively helpful to either arrowsmith, is 7/2.
Gary Anderson then has his chance to stake his place in the finals, with the Flying Scotsman 3/10 to see off Robert Thornton.
The Thorn was eliminated weeks ago, and is 11/2 to defeat the reigning World and Premier League champion.
Then we’re in for a Dutch derby as Van Gerwen plays the already-eliminated Raymond van Barneveld.
Mighty Mike is 1/4 favourite, but Barney has stepped it up when facing his compatriot in recent times – including that famous World Championship win in December – and is 13/2 for the win, while a second Premier League draw of the year between the duo is 6/1.
Whatever happens in the opening match between Wright and Wade, Lewis can seal the final top four spot if he can see off Taylor.
Jackpot was hammered 7-1 by the Power in their last meeting, but he’s 9/4 to avenge that defeat against his fellow Stoke man, while Taylor is favourite at 8/11 for a win which would keep at least one finals spot open until next week’s conclusion in Rotterdam.
