Marcus Rashford odds-on to make Hodgson’s Euros squad

Injury to Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge looks to have freed up a spot in Roy Hodgson’s England squad, and Manchester United’s young star Marcus Rashford is odds-on to take the Anfield ace’s place at Euro 2016.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the scene in recent months – having made his first-team debut for the Red Devils as recently as February 2016. However, following eight goals in 17 outings for the north-west giants, his odds of heading for France this summer have repeatedly tumbled.

Those who backed Rashford to make the 23-man squad at 8/1 before Hodgson announced his preliminary squad will be feeling good, with the young star set to make the plane at 4/6.

It’s now just 4/1 for the man from Wythenshawe to score at this summer’s tournament while we’re also offering 14/1 for his sensational story to continue with a start in the opening game against Russia.

Fans of the exciting youngster can also back him at 18s to be England’s top scorer in France with 100/1 for Rashford to be the tournament’s top marksman.

A Ladbrokes spokesperson said “Rashford’s rise has been incredible and now it looks like he’s set to board the plane for France the youngster could make a big impact for the Three Lions this summer.”
