Liverpool head the chase to make Leicester man next Anfield hero

Leicester City’s Premier League heroes will be lifting the trophy on Saturday, but one of their title stars may be saying goodbye to the Foxes faithful this summer, with a host of clubs believed to be keen on snapping up Danny Drinkwater.

Jurgen Klopp is allegedly an admirer of the 26-year-old midfielder, who has featured in 31 games for Leicester this season, scoring once. With Liverpool lacking steel in midfield, it’s 5/1 that they swoop for Drinkwater this summer.

And, with Champions League football still a distinct possibility for the Anfield outfit, those odds could tumble if Liverpool can defeat Sevilla in the Europa League final.

The tireless Drinkwater is also believed to be on Antonio Conte’s summer shopping list, with a move to Chelsea priced at 6/1.

It’s 10s that the England International returns to hometown club Manchester United, where he spent his youth career. However, neighbours Manchester City (16/1) look the more likely to have Champions League football to tempt their transfer targets with.

Tottenham are also 16/1 shots, while the bookies have effectively ruled out a move to Arsenal, with the Emirates club 25/1 to bring the former Barnsley loanee on board.

Leicester host Everton on Saturday, as the east Midlands outfit finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy.

The Foxes are 9/10 to cap the day off with a victory, while Everton are 16/5 to win and it’s 11/4 that both sides share the points.
