Leicester target’s agent says offers are on the table

Leicester City have been linked with Deportivo la Coruna’s Lucas Perez for much of 2016, and the player’s agent has now stated firm offers have been made for the striker.

Perez is reported to have a £15m release clause in his Depor’ contract, and Leicester are known to have been keen on the 27-year-old for some time.

With 17 goals in 36 appearances in La Liga last term, Lucas was one of the top-scorers outside of Barcelona or either Madrid team.

Add in the fact he also claimed 10 assists and it’s easy to see why Claudio Ranieri and the Foxes would be keen on acquiring the Spaniard.

A fine finisher with excellent link-up play, Lucas could be an ideal signing for Leicester, as they prepare to take on a Champions League campaign for the first time.

Looking for someone to offload the pressure on Jamie Vardy, Ranieri has been keen to snap up a fourth striker for next season.

Lucas’ agent, Roridgo Fernandez Lovelle, has stated this week that Deportivo have received offers for the striker from clubs playing in next season’s Champions League, with Arsenal also believed to be interested in his services.

Born and raised in A Coruna however, it’s been mooted that Lucas may be reluctant to leave his boyhood club, which could force the Foxes to look elsewhere.

CSKA Moscow’s Ahmed Musa, Gianluca Lapadula at Palermo and Watford’s Troy Deeney have also been linked with a move to the King Power this summer.
