Leicester City’s main men set to scoop SPOTY prizes

Leicester City look certain to collect their first ever Premier League crown in the coming days at 1/25, but the accolades are set to continue long into the summer.

The Foxes squad are just 1/4 to pick up the BBC SPOTY Team of the Year prize, with genial Italian gaffer Claudio Ranieri 1/2 to be handed the Coaching gong.

Leicester already boasts a Lineker Road – in honour of local star Gary Lineker – and it’s 1/2 that any 2015/16 City player has a road named after them, whether it’s Schmeichel Street or Drinkwater Drive.

While every member of the City squad are set to soak up the SPOTY win, there’s a good chance that one member of the Foxes roster will be immortalised in the form of a statue.

It’s evens that a statue of goalscoring sensation Jamie Vardy is unveiled before next season. Not bad for a player who was plying his trade in Non-League with Fleetwood Town just four years ago.

Another man certain to go down in Leicester folklore is Ranieri, and the 64-year-old Foxes boss is evens to be given the keys to the East Midlands city.

And while the race to City Hall is grabbing the current headlines, you can back the former Chelsea manager at 33/1 to sensationally snag the Mayor of Leicester post when he retires from management.

The Foxes will be confirmed as champions tonight if Tottenham fail to win at Stamford Bridge. Spurs are 8/5 for victory, with a Chelsea win priced at 7/4.

Whatever happens tonight, chances are the King Power stadium will be in party mode at full -ime on Saturday, with Leicester 4/6 to beat Everton, and 20/1 for a repeat of the Foxes’ 3-2 win against the Toffees in December 2015.
