French Open Boosts: Rafa Nadal and Victoria Azarenka enhanced

Published:

The start of this year’s French Open is just days away and ahead of the second Grand Slam of 2016 we’re once again enhancing the odds of the game’s big hitters.

Today it’s the turn of King of Clay Rafa Nadal and Belarusian star Victoria Azarenka to receive the price boost treatment.

Both are now even more enticing pre-tournament bets with Nadal moving from 9/2 to a whopping 11/2 and Azarenka pushed out from 6/1 to a tasty 8/1!

But what can we make of their respective claims?

Nadal needs no introduction to the good folk who attend Roland Garros with the Spaniard claiming a record nine French Open titles between 2005 and 2014.

He’s endured a few tough years since that last success but recent victories in Monte Carlo and Barcelona have shown Nadal still possesses enough magic and desire to conjure up an historic 10th title.

As for Azarenka, she’s also had problems with form and fitness but, like Rafa, she’s starting to show the kind of form that once took her to the top of the world rankings.

Victories in Brisbane, Indian Wells and Miami this season have been more than welcome for the 2013 French Open semi-finalist.

And if she can build upon those successes in Paris then there’s every chance Azarenka will be looking at a deep run in this year’s tournament.
