Will Chelsea keeper get his Hammers teammate wish?

Asmir Begovic featured in Chelsea’s 4-1 win at Bournemouth on Saturday, but despite the Blues impressive performance, there was one rival player who the Bosnian international would have liked to see in the champions’ line-up.

That man is Dimitri Payet, and Begovic was glowing in his praise of the 12-goal West Ham star, selecting him as the Premier League opponent he’d most like to see move to Stamford Bridge.

“He’s a fantastic player, a fantastic talent, he’s someone who I’d like to sign”, remarked the former Stoke stopper.

So, what are the chances of Begovic linking up with his dream team-mate in west London, or of Payet exiting Upton Park for a different destination?

Chelsea are favourites to secure the Reunion native’s signature if he is to make a move this summer, with a switch to the three-time Premier League winners priced at 5/1.

Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG are all 8/1 to add Payet to their roster, with the Parisians the clear frontrunner if a return to Ligue 1 is on the midfielder’s agenda.

His former club Lille (33/1) look highly unlikely to lure the 29-year-old back to northern France.

Tottenham round out the Premier League interest, meanwhile, with Mauricio Pochettino’s title-chasing Spurs 10s to swoop for the ex-Nantes man.

Payet’s current employers are next in action at West Brom on Saturday with the Irons 11/10 to secure victory over Tony Pulis’ charges.

But for those who believe history can repeat itself, it’s 100/1 that we witness the Baggies replicate the 4-0 win from their last home meeting with West Ham, while Albion are 5/2 to win by any margin.
