Tottenham legend urges Harry Kane to join Man United

Tottenham may have shown their supremacy over Manchester United with a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane this weekend but hotshot striker Harry Kane should still move to Old Trafford.
That is the suggestion of former Spurs and United striker Teddy Sheringham, who claims Kane could live to regret it if he doesn’t make a big-money move soon.
Sheringham, who played over 150 times for the Lilywhites before winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League at Old Trafford fears that if Kane decides to stay put at Spurs the likes of United and Real Madrid will look elsewhere and his chance of reaching the top may go.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the 50-year-old said: “I’m sure there are top clubs looking at him and they’d be prepared to break the bank just because of the way he plays and the way he wants to score goals every time he gets the ball.
“Timing’s a funny thing in football because you have to take the opportunity when it arises. If you don’t, another striker might go to United or Real Madrid or whoever we’re talking about and you won’t get the chance again for another four or five years.”
Kane currently sits at the top of the Premier League goals chart with 22 strikes, one more than Leicester hitman Jamie Vardy and way ahead of the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Sergio Aguero.
United’s current strike force have struggled to hit such heights but will get another chance to impress against West Ham in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
Teen sensation Marcus Rashford is the favourite to score the first goal at 6/1 and the fact the Red Devils have become so reliant on the youngster this season will have United fans hoping Kane heeds Sheringham’s warning.
