With Michael Smith and Dave Chisnall eliminated in last week’s Judgement Night, eight men now remain in the battle to be crowned Premier League champion.

Sheffield plays host for the opening night of Phase 2, which features a double evening for Phil Taylor and James Wade.

The Power climbed to the top of the pile last week with his victory over Michael Smith edging him above Michael van Gerwen, while the Dutchman was held to a draw by compatriot Raymond van Barneveld.

Taylor has looked ominously strong this year following an opening night defeat, and his 48 per cent checkout rate is second only to Mighty Mike.

The Stoke man is on the oche for his first match against reigning world champion Gary Anderson in what should be the fight of the night.

We can’t split the pair in the betting at 11/8 each, while a draw is 10/3.

The Flying Scotsman hasn’t lost in the Premier League for six weeks – since a 7-4 loss to Taylor in Dublin and has lost six of his last eight against the Englishman.

James Wade opens proceedings in Sheffield alongside Barney, and the Machine is slight favourite at 6/5 with the Dutchman 6/4.

After Taylor and Anderson, Mighty Mike takes centre stage against Robert Thornton.

The Dutchman is 1/5 favourite, but while the Thorn is 8/1, it was only two weeks ago the pair fought out a draw, and a repeat is 7/1.

Adrian Lewis and Peter Wright are 11/8 apiece to claim the penultimate match of the night, with both men firmly in the mix for a top-four spot.

And then Taylor returns for his encore, where he’s 8/13 favourite to see off Wade.

With just six weeks to go until the semi-finals, we can expect some riveting arrows action, starting tonight.
