Saints the latest to try and stop Warrington

Table-toppers Warrington Wolves are well fancied to extend their lead at the top of the Super League table tonight when they face St Helens.
A superb return of eight wins from their opening nine games sees the Wolves two points clear at the top of the table, and they are 4/11 to continue their fine start against their local rivals tonight, who are 9/4 to claim a victory.
While Warrington’s form has been close to perfect in 2016, St Helens’ has been scratchy, as Keiron Cunningham’s side sit in sixth place after five wins and four defeats.
Central to the Wolves’ success has been Chris Sandow, but they will be without their inspirational half-back after he picked up a hamstring injury against Wigan last week.
In Ben Currie they have one of the most exciting and in-form second rowers in the league.
He can’t stop scoring at the minute – nine tries in nine games – and the Wolves’ left-edge is a constant threat. It is 5/1 that both Currie and Warrington winger Kevin Penny score at anytime tonight.
Six of St Helens’ nine games so far this season have yielded between 45 and 55 points, and with Warrington showing good attacking form, it’s not inconceivable that we should be treated to yet another high-scoring game tonight. With just one victory in their last four, St Helens are in desperate need of a win, but it looks like they might have to wait another week to do so.
Warrington showed their class in beating Wigan 28-16 last week, and can be backed at Evens to see off Saints with a -10 handicap.
