Remain has never looked stronger as Brexit odds take a beating

The odds on the UK voting to stay in the EU have shortened up yet again after money poured in over the weekend for a Remain result in June’s referendum.
It’s now 3/10 that the UK chooses to Remain in the EU, with US President Barack Obama expressing his support for a Remain result this summer.
While visiting UK shores this weekend, Obama warned that a Brexit would send the UK to the back of the queue when negotiating trade deals.
Current Democrat hopeful Hillary Clinton is also in the Remain camp, and a host of bets for the UK to stay across the weekend has left Brexit fans on the back foot.
It’s now 5/2 the UK votes to Leave, with Ladbrokes’ referendum barometer placing a Brexit at just 27 per cent – one of the lowest points yet.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “The remain odds are shortening by the day. Brexit campaigners have been dealt several blows recently and that’s been reflected by the punters’ cash.”
A remain vote percentage of 50-55 per cent is most likely at 9/4, with a Leave vote of over 45.5 per cent is evens and under is 5/6.
