Manchester United favourites to sign Real Madrid ace

Manchester United have renewed their interest in Real Madrid star Toni Kroos and have a strong shot at landing their man this summer.
That is according to the latest odds form the Ladbrokes trading floor, with the Red Devils 7/2 favourites to snap up the World Cup winner when the transfer window re-opens.
Kroos started Real’s recent Champions League semi-final match with Manchester City but has been persistently linked with a move away from the Bernabeu and has often talked of his hopes to play in England.
United’s renewed interest in the 26-year-old could spell the end of Louis van Gaal’s reign at Old Trafford with the Dutchman apparently not keen on Kroos.
David Moyes believed a deal has been struck to lure the then-Bayern Munich man to Old Trafford, but reports suggest Van Gaal pulled the plug shortly after his appointment.
A Ladbrokes spokesman said: “Returning interest for Kroos looks to be the final nail in the coffin for Louis van Gaal but we’re sure United’s fans will be happy with the swap.
“Manchester City appear to be the Red Devils’ nearest rivals for the 26-year-old but we fancy it will be Old Trafford in Kroos’ control next season.”
City can be backed at 8/1 to sign Kroos from under United’s noses, while Chelsea and Arsenal are also in the running at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively.
A return to Germany does not appear to be on the horizon, however, with Bayern priced up at 14/1 to re-sign the midfielder and Borussia Dortmund ranked as 20/1 outsiders.
