Ladbrokes SPFL: All square in the Championship with five draws

The business end of the Scottish football season is fast approaching but there was little in the way of clues to potential outcomes outside the Ladbrokes Premiership this weekend, with a host of draws north of the border.
The Championship delivered a full quota of stalemates, with all five games ending all square, while there was also little movement in Leagues 1 and 2.
Here’s your round-up to the weekend’s SPFL action.
Ladbrokes Championship
Dumbarton remain just two points above the relegation play-off place after a goalless draw with Morton. It could have been worse for the Sons but Ross Forbes’ 80th– minute strike clattered the post to keep the hosts’ survival fears alive.
Bottom side Alloa were unable to claw any points back on relegation rivals Livingston with the sides also playing out a goalless draw at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Falkirk appeared to be heading a step closer to second place after goals from Blair Alston and John Baird put them 2-0 up away to Queen of the South but the visitors were pegged back by Derek Lyle and Iain Russell to earn a share of the spoils for the Doonhamers.
Rangers remain on course to claim the title but the Champagne will have to remain on ice after some last-minute drama at Stark’s Park.
Raith took a surprise lead through Louis Longridge only for Harry Forrester and Michael O’Halloran to turn the game back in Gers favour. James Craigen then levelled before the break but Kenny Miller’s 49th-minute goal seemed to secure all three points for Mark Warburton’s men. It wasn’t to be, however, and Harry Panayiotis popped up in the fourth minute of stoppage time to extend Rovers unbeaten run to seven games.
The final Championship game saw Hibs’ winless streak extended to five games though Alan Stubbs’ men did strike in the last minute to salvage a 2-2 draw away at St Mirren.
Ladbrokes League 1
The Scottish third tier was either a Goal Crazy killer or a gold mine for ‘win to nil’ backers with all five games seeing just one side score.
Newly-crowned champions Dunfermline kept the party going with a 1-0 away win over Albion thanks to Faissal El Bakhtaoui’s 30th goal of the season.
Peterhead maintained their grip over Ayr in the race for second, with both sides unable to pick up any points. The Blue Toon went down 2-0 away to Forfar, while the Honest Men suffered a shock 1-0 reverse to Cowdenbeath, who remain two points above the Loons in the relegation play-off place.
Elsewhere, basement boys Brechin boosted their own chances of survival with a 1-0 win over Stenhousemuir but the most impressive display of the afternoon came from Stranraer who scored two either side of the break to dispatch Airdrieonians 4-0.
Ladbrokes League 2
East Fife moved a step closer to automatic promotion with a 1-0 win over Arbroath thanks to Jason Kerr’s first-half strike. That win moves the Fifers four points clear of second-place Clyde who were held 3-3 in a thriller with Montrose at the Broadwood Stadium.
It was all square elsewhere win the league, with East Stirling and Berwick serving up a bore draw, Elgin holding Annan 2-2 and Queen’s Park failing to build on half-time lead to draw 1-1 with Stirling Albion.
