Fury v Klitschko II: Both men promising a knockout

Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko will meet for the second time later this year and with both men in confident mood it promises to be another classic.
Fury shocked the boxing world in November last year when outclassing the Ukrainian to snatch his IBF, WBA Super, WBO, IBO and The Ring belts via a unanimous decision in Dusseldorf.
Fury has since been stripped of the IBF strap but will defend his remaining titles at the Manchester Arena on July 9 and is promising a more explosive showing this time around.
Klitschko has vowed to learn from the first bout and make the necessary changes to his fighting style to reclaim his throne but Fury believes his rival is too old to learn new tricks at this stage of his career.
“He can’t change, you only have to look at the great Larry Holmes to see that,” he explained.
“Holmes lost his unbeaten record to Michael Spinks and said he’d change things up for their rematch and we all know what happened there. So if the great Larry Holmes can’t change what hope does the great Wladimir Klitschko have?”
Klitschko, on the back foot amid allegations of trying to cheat in the first fight, was unusually quiet at the press conference, simply stating that he has become a better fighter because of the Fury defeat and will leave no doubt as to who is the true champion by knocking Fury out cold.
Not one to be deterred Fury simply shrugged off the claims, adding: “If he wants to go out swinging and have a dogfight in the middle of the ring … well, he’s picked the right man for that hasn’t he?”.
For now the bookies cannot separate the pair, with both Fury and Klitschko priced up at 10/11 to have their hand raised at the final bell in Manchester.
