West Ham top the list of options for disgruntled Benteke

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham are the most likely suitors for Liverpool’s out-of-sorts striker Christian Benteke, with the forward revealing his concerns on life under Jurgen Klopp this week.

The former Aston Villa man has spoken this week of how he can’t fathom why Klopp is ignoring him at Anfield, and it’s 6/1 the 25-year-old’s next club sees him become a Hammer.

Having made just a handful of starts under the German, Benteke is 8/1 to head to the white half of north London and join Tottenham.

A move to Ronald Koeman’s Southampton is also 8/1 while it’s 10s the big striker joins Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester.

A switch across Stanley Park to Everton is deemed somewhat unlikely by the bookies at 12/1, while the two Milan clubs top the list of potential European suitors.

A Ladbrokes spokesman said: “Things haven’t worked out for Benteke under Klopp, and with West Ham moving to a new stadium this summer the powerful forward could be the ideal man to lead the line at the Olympic Stadium.”

Benteke’s next chance to impress for the Reds comes after the international break when Liverpool host Tottenham.

The Merseyside men are 6/4 to win against Mauricio Pochettino’s title-chasers, with the visitors 9/5.
