Alloa’s search for a first home win of the season continued last weekend, but it wasn’t to be as visiting St Mirren snatched the points late on to leave the Wasps on the verge of relegation from the Ladbrokes Championship.
Keith Watson netted the only goal of the game five minutes from time, to leave Alloa 15 points adrift with just five games remaining.
St Mirren remained in seventh, but are just a point behind Morton in fifth as a top-half finish remains more than possible for the Buddies.
