Twitter reacts as Arsenal beat Everton
Published:Arsenal beat Everton in today’s early kickoff in a game that saw both sets of fans vent their frustrations.
The Toffees are annoyed with their home record, where they have let in more than any other team in the Premier League, even Aston Villa, and pressure on Roberto Martinez has returned.
Meanwhile, the Gunners fans held up a banner at the end of the match calling for Arsene Wenger’s resignation, despite the 2-0 win.
Alex Iwobi and Danny Welbeck scored the two goals for their side in what was an efficient performance from Wenger’s men.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to Arsenal’s win.
Good. (Is that a small flicker of hope I see in the distance?) #EFCvAFC https://t.co/4pn6bQMCIT

If we continue to put in solid performances like that, we might well have a chance #EFCvAFC

The Gunners opened the scoring with a lovely team goal in which Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil combined to set up Welbeck, with the goal getting a lot of attention on social media.

Superb team goal, brilliantly finished by Welbeck. #afc— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) March 19, 2016
Iwobi was making his first Premier League start and marked it in the best way possible.
The tweeters of Britain desperately trying to think up a good Iwobi-Wan Kenobi pun #EVEARS

Iwobi lad.. Massive week for him. Gave a fantastic performance at Camp Nou and today he starts again. Way to go young lad.

The manner of the defeat didn’t sit well with Everton fans as they lost at Goodison Park once again.
Worse home defence than Aston Villa and second to Troyes (Fra) who conceded 9 v PSG last week. Second worst in Europe. #EFC #martinezout

This why Lukaku will be off in the summer. We are simply not good enough. #EFC #martinezout

For the first time I’ve shifted to the #MartinezOut camp. Another dreadful performance, no direction, fight, belief. Can’t continue. #EFC

Arsenal fans were also not in a particularly happy mood.
