Odds-on for the Premier League title to head to north London

Tottenham may have blown their chance to go top in midweek when succumbing to West Ham on Wednesday but the odds still say the Premier League will be heading to north London this season.

Unfortunately for Lilywhites fans it not necessarily a given that it will be White Hart Lane that hosts the trophy should it head to the capital.

Ladbrokes have chalked up either Spurs or local rivals Arsenal taking the title at 10/11 ahead of their clash on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are favourites to not just win the match at the weekend but also do something they haven’t done in over 20 years and finish above the Gunners.

In a straight match bet on who will hold the loftier position at the end of the season Tottenham are 4/6 shots while the Emirates outfit are an 11/10 chance.

It’ll be a tense affair in the capital with both sides knowing that defeat could see them with a mountain to climb if they are to usurp Leicester at the top of the table.

With more than local bragging rights at stake, Ladbrokes are also offering a price of 12/5 that the occasion gets too much for one player and referee Robert Madley is forced to reach for his red card.

In the title race itself there is barely room to breathe too. Claudio Ranieri’s side are 9/5 jollies to end their fantastic season with silverware, with Tottenham next at 9/5 and Arsenal as 7/2 shots.

Things can change very quickly though and while Leicester may have become every football fan’s second team this season the odds suggest that their bubble will be burst by a side from the north of the capital before too long.
