Ladbrokes SPFL: Livingston set to maintain fine run

The 2015/16 Ladbrokes SPFL season is fast reaching a conclusion, and there’s sure to be plenty of drama in store this weekend with teams desperate for points.
In the Ladbrokes Championship, Livingston can continue their recent run when they welcome St Mirren to the Tony Macaroni Arena, while in League 1 Peterhead look well poised to continue their stunning unbeaten streak.
And in League 2 we’ve come to expect the unexpected this year, with 10 mightily competitive teams, but can East Fife continue their stay at the top?
Here’s your preview of the weekend’s action…
Ladbrokes Championship
Saturday afternoon’s Championship action focuses on the midfield, with three-game unbeaten Livingston 9/5 to win at home to St Mirren, who have lost each of their last four on the road.
If Morton are to have any chance of making the play-offs, they’ll almost certainly have to beat Alloa, and they’re 1/2 to do just that with Athletic losing 11 of their 15 away games.
The final 3pm game sees Queen of the South priced at 7/10 to arrest a three-game losing streak. Visitors Dumbarton aren’t travelling well, winning one of their last 13, failing to score nine times.
Ladbrokes League 1
Brechin could be a popular choice at 13/10 to win a fourth-straight game at home to an Albion side without victory in five matches.
Dunfermline drew on their last visit to Cowdenbeath, but with the hosts defeated in each of their last five home games, the Pars look set for victory at 2/7.
Ayr will need to be on their guard at the improved Forfar, with the home side 33/20 draw no bet having lost just two of their last six.
Airdrie have lost only two of their last seven on the road, but they’re up against it at Peterhead, who are 11/20 for three points and are unbeaten since October.
And after seven points from the last nine available, Stranraer can boost their top-four hopes with a win at 5/6, consigning Stenhousemuir to a sixth game without a win.
Ladbrokes League 2
Seven points separate the top five, but Annan will need to go some against a rejuvenated Berwick. The Borderers have won three and drawn two of their last five, and are 4/5 double chance with a draw.
Barry Ferguson’s Clyde are 1/2 to win at bottom side East Stirling, having won there less than two weeks ago, while Elgin are 3/5 to win a 12th home game of the campaign against troubled travellers Montrose.
Queen’s Park could do with halting a three-game winless run, and they’re 9/10 to win at home to Arbroath, who have claimed just three away wins since September.
Finally, league leaders East Fife – sixth on New Year’s Day – are 6/5 to beat a Stirling side with just one victory in six.
