Dundee looking ahead with double Inverness raid

Dundee have announced a double signing as they bid to establish themselves as regulars in the Ladbrokes Premiership, bringing in James Vincent and Danny Williams from Inverness.

The duo have each penned three-year-deals and will arrive this summer when their current contracts reach an end.

Playmaker Vincent has made 14 appearances for Caley Thistle this term, but the Derbyshire man hasn’t featured since January 2.

His work rate and creative talents should see him become a crowd favourite at Dens Park, and he’s certainly one at Inverness having scored the side’s winning goal in last season’s Scottish Cup Final.

Williams has been a near ever-present for the Highlanders, and his versatility will be a useful asset to the Dees.

Capable as a left winger or left back, Williams frequently causes havoc in the box with whipping crosses, and the signing of the pair is a significant statement from Paul Hartley’s outfit.

The club currently lie seventh, three points behind Ross County who occupy the final top half spot ahead of the split.

Crucially however, the Dees have a game in hand, and one of their three remaining regular season ties is at home to the Staggies a week on Saturday.

Having finished sixth last season, Dundee are in the hunt for a top half finish once more this time around, but wherever they finish this term, it’s clear they are looking long term to become Ladbrokes Premiership regulars.
