Chelsea widely expected to crash out of Champions League

Chelsea’s Champions League adventure will come to a halt when the Blues host PSG at Stamford Bridge tonight.

That is according to the latest Ladbrokes poll, which asked our Twitter following which of the two clubs will progress to the quarter finals.

PSG lead the tie 2-1 after the first leg so it was perhaps no surprise to see the Paris club attract 63 per cent of the votes.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that just 37 per cent of voters believe Guus Hiddink’s men have what it take to turn the tie around.

The betting also suggests a PSG triumph with Les Parisiens priced up as marginal favourites at 33/20 to win on the night.

The draw can be backed at 12/5 but won’t be enough for the hosts while odds of 15/8 say Chelsea can win on the night.

A win might not be enough for the Londoners, however, and its 2/5 that PSG progress to the next round, while Chelsea can be backed at 9/5 to make it through and shock the majority of Ladbrokes’ Twitter followers.
