Sulky Sturridge should be sent packing from Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge’s decision to go public on his desire to leave Liverpool hasn’t gone down very well with Reds fans according to the latest Ladbrokes Twitter poll.

The injury-hit striker has lashed out at his detractors and appears ready to quit the Anfield club in the summer, a move that’s been welcomed by the majority of today’s voters.

In fact, a whopping 63 per cent believe that Kop boss Jurgen Klopp should ‘take the cash’ and offload the 26-year-old as soon as possible.

The German gaffer is known to be frustrated by the England star’s lack of fitness. And it’s thought that both parties are keen on securing a resolution to the long-standing issue with a Merseyside exit the preferred option.

However, there’s still 37 per cent of you who think that Sturridge deserves more time to continue his rehabilitation in the hope that he’ll return to the type of form that saw Liverpool come so close to landing the Premier League title in 2014.

But with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham allegedly interested in his services it’s looking increasingly likely that the livewire forward will seek pastures new.
