Small majority of voters think Cameron will be gone by 2017/18

UK Prime Minister David Cameron has certainly hogged the limelight during the past week but he should probably enjoy it while it lasts according to the results of a Twitter poll.

With heightened speculation surrounding Cameron’s position our very own @LadPolitics asked the question: “When will Cameron be replaced as PM?”

And with polling now complete it’s been revealed a small majority think that 2017/18 is the most likely timeframe for the incumbent to leave Number 10.

To be more specific, 35 per cent of those who voted plumped for that option with 28 per cent of the opinion that this year could in fact be Cameron’s last in the top job.

Just behind came 2019 on 27 per cent while only 10 per cent think that the Conservative leader will last until 2020 or later.

But enough of the polls and onto the betting where it’s a 4/1 shot that Cameron is replaced before the year is out.

Meanwhile, 2019 is the 2/1 favourite and it’s 3s for him to survive the next four years.
