Leicester doubter backs Foxes to finish outside top four

Leicester City’s 3-1 win over Manchester City forced Ladbrokes to slash them into favouritism to win the Premier League.

Goals from Robert Huth and Riyad Mahrez sealed all three points for the Foxes at the Etihad and for the first time this season there was an almost universal agreement that Claudio Ranieri’s men could go on to achieve the impossible.

Not all footy fans are getting caught up in the fairytale, however, with one Ladbrokes punter requesting odds for the Foxes to run out of steam and finish outside the top four.

As part of the bookmakers’ What Are The Odds series the traders were only too happy to oblige and quickly offered a price of 7/1.

A quick look at the remaining fixtures though shows that it may just be wishful thinking on the doubter’s part.

While their next game, away to Arsenal could have a huge say in where the title ends up, a seemingly worry free run against the likes of Norwich, West Brom, Watford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace takes the Foxes up to the end of March.

April kicks off with a home game against Southampton followed by a trip to the Stadium of Light and home ties against West Ham and Swansea.

A tricky run of three games against Manchester United, Everton and Chelsea conclude the Foxes season and while those games might well hand the initiative back to Arsenal, Tottenham or Man City the hunt for a top four place could well be over before the trip to Old Trafford.
