Ireland given the boost for another Six Nations success

Having won the last two Six Nations championships, Ireland are aiming to create Six Nations history this year with a record-breaking third successive championship.
No side has won three straight Six Nations’ since the format expanded in 2000 and there are five other countries who will be eager to ensure Ireland don’t achieve it this year.
Under Joe Schmidt however, Ireland have shown a knack for coming out on top, as the New Zealander led his side to glory on a thrilling final day in 2015, as the Greens edged England and Wales on points difference only.
Similarly in 2014 it took a last-gasp win, this time away in Paris, to see off England and France on the last weekend of the tournament.

The reigning champions are 8/13 favourites to win at a roaring Aviva stadium this Sunday, with Warren Gatland’s Wales outsiders at 11/8.
