How Twitter reacted as Guardiola saves Deadline Day
Published:Deadline Day began rather quietly yesterday, and ended pretty much in the same vein late last night, but in-between, Man City provided some dramatic developments.
The news that Manuel Pellegrini will leave the club in the summer to be replaced by Pep Guardiola had a good go at breaking the internet, and it certainly spiced up an otherwise lacklustre final day of the transfer window.
None of the Premier League’s major players made any movement on the player front, with most of the action coming from the bottom half of the table and the sharp end of the Championship.
Here’s how it all unfolded on Twitter…
The Guardiola news gave people a welcome piece of news on a quiet day..
#DeadlineDay pretty much a non event. No wonder the Pep Guardiola story blew up!

It wasn’t too bad for Everton fans however, who shelled out £13.5m on Oumar Niasse…
Hopefully #Niasse will prove to be a useful addition. Could help keep #Lukaku on edge. #DeadlineDay #EFC

But overall it was a bit of a dud one as none of the big boys made any moves, so to sum it all up, here’s Dave…
