Hazard odds-on to say goodbye to London and bonjour to Paris
Published:Eden Hazard’s days as Chelsea’s number 10 look numbered as the Belgian edges closer to a move to French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Speculation over Hazard’s future was increased this week by comments from the forward in the press, while a lacklustre personal performance against the Parisian side in their midweek Champions League clash failed to quell the debate.
The 25-year-old has netted just once for the Blues this term, and a move to the French capital is odds-on at just 5/6.
It’s 10/1 that Hazard moves to Manchester United, while rivals City are 12/1 alongside a move to China.
A Ladbrokes News spokesperson said: “Hazard really fanned the flames with his comments this week, and a move across the channel to Paris is looking ever more likely.”
Hazard isn’t the only Premier League winner facing speculation over his future, with Arsenal target Michael Carrick just 7/4 to switch the red of Manchester for that of north London.
A move back to the north-east to Newcastle is a 3/1 price, as is a return to West Ham.
But it’s Hazard who is dominating the back pages this week, and it seems a move to PSG will be announced sooner rather than later.
Chelsea face Manchester City in the FA Cup this weekend, and the west Londoners are 21/20 for victory at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
