Good riddance: Chelsea fans happy to see Hazard leave, says poll

Chelsea fans would gladly send Eden Hazard packing to PSG following the forward’s thinly-veiled come and get me plea.

Ahead of the Blues’ 2-1 Champions League defeat to the Parisians the Belgian was quoted as saying he would find it very hard to turn down a move to the Parc des Princes.

And, while his comments were met with outrage at first it seems the Stamford Bridge faithful have had time to calm down and would now quite like to see the back of the 25-year-old.

Having seen the Belgian net just one goal all season we asked our Twitter following to have their say and vote on whether or not Chelsea should fight to keep hold of the former Lille man but with a whopping 72 per cent the overwhelming response was “Get rid of him”.

By contrast just 28 per cent believe Guus Hiddink, or whoever replaces him in the summer, should fight to keep hold of last season’s top scorer.

Should Chelsea decide to ditch the faded forward it’s odds-on he signs for Laurent Blanc’s side at 5/6, while Real Madrid are also in the running at 2/1.

Bayern Munich could also be an option at 8/1, while a potential reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United has been chalked up at 10/1.

However, with a growing number of players having their heads turned by the mega bucks on offer in China it’s 12/1 the Belgian heads to the Far East.

Either way it looks like the attacker is certain to leave Stamford Bridge – not that the fans will care.
