Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg: How Twitter has geared up for the big fight

The wait is almost over for boxing fans across the UK and around the world as Super Bantamweight world champions Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg prepare to put their titles on the line this weekend.
The IBF and WBA belt holders will step into the ring at the Manchester Arena on February 27 with one man emerging as the divisions unified title holder.
Both men have been preparing for the fight of their lives and the tension has been palpable and nowhere has that been more prevalent than on Twitter where various polls, expert opinions and the men themselves show that this is a close fight to call and likely to be a thrilling encounter.

Real Champion

Close call
There have been numerous polls and most show that this is as close to a 50-50 fight as it’s possible to get. As this poll carried out by Matchroom and retweeted by Eddie Hearn shows, a Quigg KO is the most popular outcome but 53 per cent of fans are backing Frampton to come out on top.
