Brit Awards just 3/1 to see another tumble live on stage

Aside from Kanye West’s swear-fest, the talk of last year’s Brit Awards was all about Madonna’s tumble down the stage thanks to her cape.

Twitter went into meltdown with gifs, memes and all sorts after Madge’s little tumble, with many referring to ‘The Incredibles’ Edna Mode’s number one rule – no capes.

The internet really did go into hyperdrive after a member of Madge’s dance crew tugged on her cape a little too hard. An ironic case of too much material for the material girl, perhaps.

The incident was essentially what Twitter was made for.

Amazingly a year has flown by (geddit?) already, and we’ve no doubt this year’s list of live performances are feeling the heat to avoid falling faster than a ray of light.

We can’t imagine Adele or Coldplay to be so energetic on stage that they tumble, but with Justin Bieber, Little Mix, The Weeknd and Rihanna (maybe, nobody quite knows if she’ll show) set to perform at London’s 02 Arena, there’s plenty of opportunity for someone to hit the deck – Bieber will probably do it on purpose.

Ladbrokes are 3/1 that someone falls off stage during a live show, while it’s 4/1 for a live performer to walk off stage before their set finishes (we’re looking at you, Rhi Rhi).

With Adele set to dominate thanks to the huge success across both sides of the Atlantic with 25, it’s a 3/1 shot that an award winner cries on stage, while it’s the same price that someone drops their trophy live in front of us all.

Those cheeky chappies from Newcastle Ant and Dec will be making their second successive turn as hosts and third in total, but the Geordie lads have announced this will be their finale as Brit presenters, and they’re just 2/1 to make a PJ and Duncan reference during the show.

Having had her award speech cut off infamously back in 2011, prompting her to flick the Vs as ‘the suits’ Adele may be after some sweet Brits revenge this year.

The Skyfall singer is heavily expected to dominate this year’s show, and it seems all set for the Londoner to have the last say.

But to all live performers, just remember one thing…
