STOP! Are you Scotland’s missing Irish Lotto winner?

A mystery millionaire is residing is Scotland apparently unaware of their new-found wealth.

The Ladbrokes customer has landed a cool £1,018,020 on the Irish Lotto after playing at a store in Glasgow’s east end but has yet to come forward to claim their colossal prize.

The bookmaker revealed that a £12 stake placed close to the Celtic Park branch on Westmuir Street has landed the seven-figure sum.

A Ladbrokes spokeswoman said: “The customer wasn’t one of our regulars so we have no idea who he or she is. That’s why we are appealing for information
to track them down.

“They might not know they have won so we are hoping they have kept a hold of their ticket. We hope we might see them come back to the branch on Wednesday.”

The win continues a hot streak for Scots, with two others being made millionaires in the last week.

The Irish Lotto win comes after a £33m National Lottery windfall in Hawick and a £2.2m online casino jackpot landed in Tayside.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes added: “Scotland is on a winning streak at the moment but the country’s latest millionaire may still be none the wiser.

“It’s a life-changing sum of money and we’ve got a cheque ready to hand over to the lucky recipient, so we’d suggest everyone looks down the back of the sofa for the winning ticket.”
