POLL: Who is the best goalkeeper in the Premier League this season?

Published:

They say a goalkeeper can win you 15 points over a season, and that certainly appears to be the case this term for David de Gea and Manchester United after more heroics from the Spaniard.

De Gea produced a string of saves to deny Liverpool at Anfield yesterday, keeping United in the game before Wayne Rooney’s late winner handed United the win over their fierce rivals.

It isn’t the first time the 25-year-old has come to United’s rescue, and the former Atletico Madrid man has grown into one of the game’s finest goalkeepers.

For today’s poll we want to know who you think has been the best keeper in the Premier League this term? We think De Gea has some strong competition.

Arsenal’s Petr Cech has also been in sterling form, after switching allegiances from west London to the north over the summer. Is it merely coincidence that the Gunners are in with their best shot of a Premier League title in years? We don’t think so.

And what about Hugo Lloris at Tottenham? Spurs have conceded fewer goals than any other side in the Premier League, and the French stopper has missed just one game this season.

Stoke’s Jack Butland has rapidly emerged as a top-line keeper, and the Englishman has kept clean sheets this season against Arsenal, Man City, Man United and Chelsea.

So today’s poll is quite simply, who is this season’s best goalkeeper? Cast your vote below and let us know!
