POLL: Is Everton’s John Stones as good as the pundits say he is?

Published:

It’s a frustrating time to be an Everton fan, with the Toffees failing to produce the expected results from one of the most talented squads in England.

Last night’s League Cup semi-final exit at Manchester City was the latest blow to the team, who have picked up just nine points from their last 10 league games.

With Ross Barkley in midfield and Romelu Lukaku upfront, the Merseysiders boast two of the games’ most exciting young attackers.

And then there’s John Stones, a man regarded by many to be England’s best defender in a generation, and perhaps of all time.

Subject to intense speculation from Chelsea over the summer, Everton kept hold of their young star and Roberto Martinez has praised the youngster to the hilt.

However, a suspect display against Swansea at the weekend was followed up by a torrid night against Aguero and co in Manchester.

Martinez has said we can’t judge Stones until he’s played 100 games in the top-flight, but we aren’t so patient at Ladbrokes News so we’re asking the question today;

Is John Stones as good as the pundits say he is?
