Man United bookies favourite to make Neymar the ‘main man’

Published:

Manchester United are the 5/2 favourites to be Neymar’s next permanent club, with the Red Devils reportedly going all out to land the Barcelona superstar.

The Brazilian is allegedly growing increasingly disgruntled with having to share the limelight in Spain with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and wants to be the main attraction at his next port of call.

With United desperately seeking a return to their glory days and lacking a superstar name to supplement Wayne Rooney, the Manchester club are believed to be preparing a significant move to bring Neymar to Old Trafford this year.

And it appears United have stolen a march on their Manchester rivals, with City 3/1 to sign the Brazil ace.

PSG are 5/1 to persuade Neymar to go to Paris, but with Zlatan Ibrahimovic already at the club, will Neymar fancy a move to the French capital?

Luis Figo and current Barca boss Luis Enrique both courted controversy by turning out for the white of Real Madrid, and Neymar is 6/1 to leave Barca and inflict a stinging barb by joining their fierce rivals.

Chelsea (8/1), Bayern Munich (10/1) and Juventus (12/1) are the outsiders in the chase for the 23-year-old’s signature.

Richard Marsh of Ladbrokes News said: “Neymar wants to be the main man at his next club and the odds suggest United are prepared to spend big to make him the talk of Old Trafford.”

Neymar wants to be the star, Man United need a star, is this a match made in heaven for the Theatre of Dreams?
