Familiar faces make up Celebrity Big Brother housemates

Published:

The X Factor is over, so is I’m a Celebrity and so is Strictly, but all reality TV lovers out there need not worry because it’s a new year and that means a new bunch of housemates in Celebrity Big Brother.

Last year’s event saw former Apprentice contestant James Hill crowned winner of the house, seeing off popstar Natasha Hamilton, X-Factor lovebirds Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine, plus TV regular Bobby Davro along the way.

This year’s bunch of housemates should be pretty familiar to viewers, with a host of names appearance on other reality shows in recent years.

None more so than TOWIE personality Gemma Collins.

The Essex girl is 7/1 to win the show, but after her disastrous attempt at surviving I’m a Celebrity (lasting approximately three days in the Jungle) how will she deal with the confines of the house?

Sticking with the reality show theme is Geordie Shore’s Scott Timlin, also the early favourite at 5/2.

The Geordie gang know a thing or two about prevailing in the house, with Charlotte Crosby victorious in 2013.

There’s definitely a talent pool of Big Brother contestants from reality tv outlets as Ex On The Beach’s Megan McKenna is also in the mix at 8/1.

Another Jungle veteran is Michael Jackson’s old pal David Gest. The American finished fourth Down Under back in 2006, but became something of a national treasure and should that popularity continue in the house, he could be value at 7/1.

Of course it wouldn’t be a Big Brother house without some soap stars, so step forward Steph Davis and John Partridge from Hollyoaks and Eastenders respectively.

The pair look like being early outsiders, with Davis 16s and Partridge 10/1 to win.

Partridge will be able to chat all things Walford with fellow ex-Eastender Daniella Westbrook, who is 20/1.

We can expect a few tales about the Kardashian’s this month too, provided Kim’s BFF Jonathan Cheban (8/1) stays in the house long enough.

Likewise music lovers might want to help David Bowie’s ex-wife Angie (25/1) stick around too.

Football fans may recall Sven-Goran Eriksson’s reign in charge of the Three Lions as much for his off-field activities as on the touchline, none more so than the Swede’s former squeeze Nancy Dell’Olio.

Rarely one to stray from attention, the former Strictly contestant is a long shot at 25/1 for Big Brother glory.

We fancy most of the controversy could come from former UKIP spokesman and former boxer Winston McKenzie at 40s.

Also in the house go actor Darren Day (20/1), former X-Factor contestant Christopher Maloney (14/1) and US reality star Tiffany Pollard at 25s – who could be a shrewd price should she crank up the controversy.

That’s all we know so far, but with Big Brother we’ve become accustomed to expecting the unexpected. One thing is for sure though, this eclectic bunch probably aren’t going to get along too well.
