Michy Batshuayi is a player that is catching the eyes of many Premier League clubs due to his displays for Marseille.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with a January move for the agile and powerful forward, who is the joint second top scorer in Ligue 1 this season.
However, the 22-year-old should steer clear of those potential destinations and make the unpredictable choice to head to Newcastle United, who are rumoured to be interested in signing the young Belgian.
The Magpies are famous for their love of goal-scoring number nines and the current Marseille man would be quickly taken into the hearts of the fans on Tyneside.
Batshuayi has found the net 11 times in the French top-flight and scored three in five Champions League matches.
Conversely, the two men that could currently be seen as the most suited to the number nine role at Newcastle currently are yet to really find their scoring boots.
Aleksandar Mitrovic only has three strikes to his name in 13 appearances, while Papiss Cisse is on two after the same number of games.
Therefore, it would be easier for the Belgian forward to walk into the starting line-up at St James’ Park and this is not a luxury he would have at other clubs.
Olivier Giroud is finally starting to find form at Arsenal and after Arsene Wenger stuck with him for so long it would be strange for the Gunners’ boss to replace the Frenchman now.
Similarly, Harry Kane’s exploits at Spurs mean he must be one of the first names on Mauricio Pochettino’s teamsheet and Batshuayi would have to settle with deputising for the England international.
Furthermore, Chelsea already possess two players who, despite current struggles, are world class goalscorers in Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa.
The Blues also have a poor record with January signings and Juan Cuadrado, Mohamed Salah and Demba Ba would also most likely advise Batshuayi to steer clear of Stamford Bridge.
