The Red Devils have now gone six games without a win under the Dutchman, who is coming under increasing pressure to improve results and performances on the pitch.

With Jose Mourinho now waiting in the wings following his second split with Chelsea last week, Van mGaal is under yet more pressure with the Man United board fully aware a three-time Premier League-winning manager is readily available.

We asked you today if the Old Trafford club should replace their current boss with Mourinho and it’s been a resounding yes with 79 per cent of you saying it’s time to make the change.

Ladbrokes are 5/2 that Mourinho is in charge of United by the time they host Chelsea on December 28, while it’s 4/9 that Jose’s next club will be to lead out the 13-time Premier League champions.

Some 21 per cent of you say United should stick with that they have, ad should they do just that, Van Gaal will surely need a result when his side head to Stoke on Boxing Day.
