West Brom suffering at Swansea hands most likely on Boxing Day

Since Swansea took their seat at England’s top footballing table in 2011/12, they’ve enjoyed facing West Bromwich Albion.
In eight Premier League clashes between the sides, the south Wales club have triumphed in five, scoring 13 goals in that quintet of victories and shipping just two.
There has been no draw between the pair in the modern-day top tier, and two of the Baggies’ three wins have come at the Hawthorns.
This offers plenty of food for thought where Ladbrokes customers and the Boxing Day 2015 clash between the rivals at the Liberty Stadium is concerned therefore.
While this pattern of Swansea joy and Baggies pain may have slipped under the radar, it won’t have gone unnoticed that the former club have recently felt it necessary to part company with manager Garry Monk.
The Swans player-turned manager was released after overseeing a solitary win in 11 league matches; an almost bewildering contrast from his side’s exploits under the Englishman last season, which witnessed a record points haul.
Still, despite this turmoil, a freshening up in the dugout (Roberto di Matteo is second favourite to takeover at time of writing) often has a revitalising effect, if only for the shorter term.
In some respects this has kicked in over the last two games since Monk’s departure already, albeit a victory hasn’t been forthcoming….yet.
Swansea were the more convincing side at Manchester City only to have a fully-deserved point stolen from them in stoppage time, while West Ham were held 0-0 after that and the stats once again painted the picture that the Swans warranted more for their efforts.
Although their guests are a model of stability under Tony Pulis in contrast, the Baggies are hardly tearing up trees, going four without a win and losing 2-1 at home to Bournemouth on their last outing.
The Swans can grab their chance to restore some much-needed festive cheer to south Wales against a side they historically enjoy facing.
Said victory is priced up pretty pleasingly at 10/11, by which time the Swans may have a new manager at the helm to boost improving confidence further.
