Strictly week 12: Anton makes the final, not everyone is happy
Published:Hurrah! This year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing has finally thrown up a big talking point! Series 13 had been a slow burner until Katie Derham and Anton du Beke’s passage to the final caused quite a stir on Social Media last night.
Opinion is split with some fans of the show pretty upset that Katie and Anton progressed at the expense of Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko.
Meanwhile, others are delighted to see ever-popular Anton in his first Strictly finale.
Some of you even want him to take home the Glitterball trophy…
It may not be right, it may be wrong, it may be against spirit of everything everyone holds dear but I suddenly want Anton to win #strictly

Monday thought 1: I’m still more excited than a sane person should be that Anton is in the Strictly final.

But others aren’t so happy about how the semi-final dance-off was decided…
Still annoyed that Anton & Katie made the #strictly final at the expense of the vastly superior Anita & Gleb. No wonder Twitter was on fire!

#Strictly such a fix! 2 changes needed: judges who don’t pick their favourite even when they’re not as good(Anton) & publish voting figures

And these particular tweets are just the tip of the iceberg.
Still, according to the odds at least, this is as good as it’ll get for Anton with dance partner Katie the 25/1 outsider for glory.
They’ll have to go some to usurp the odds-on jolly. Jay McGuiness has been untouchable for most of the series and only big hitters are likely to be interested in the 1/5 about his chances.
Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote is next best at 6/1 while fellow soap star Kellie Bright is a 12/1 shot.
